Prayer Halacha: Times, Quorums, Texts

Lesson 117 · הִלְכוֹת תְּפִלָּה

Three daily prayers (Shacharit / Mincha / Maariv), each with specific time windows. Most prayers can be said alone, but Kaddish, Borchu, Kedusha, and Torah reading require a minyan, 10 Jewish men over bar mitzvah age (13). Lesson 64 covered prayer texts; this one covers the laws of *when*, *how*, and *with whom* to pray.

Cultural note, Israeli airports, malls, and highway rest stops have minyan rooms (חֲדַר תְּפִלָּה). Most observant Israelis check Mincha times via apps like "Zmanim", the times shift with sunset. A common Friday workplace question: "מִנְחָה הָיוֹם?", "Mincha today?", looking for 10 men.
