Omer Adam (born 1993, Tel Aviv) is the contemporary Mizrahi-pop star, he modernized the genre with dance-pop production and electronic beats while keeping the Mizrahi vocal ornament. He is Modern Orthodox and observes Shabbat. His hits include "Tel Aviv" (the city anthem), "Bocheret" (Choosing), "Wai Wai Wai", and "Modeh Ani". His career exploded in the mid-2010s and he now plays Park HaYarkon, Caesarea, and Pais Arena, drawing roughly 4 million streams a month on Spotify Israel.
Cultural note, Omer Adam\'s distinctive combo: modern Orthodox observance alongside a nightclub/dance-pop sound. He won\'t perform Friday night and declines Shabbat shoots. His "Modeh Ani", built on the traditional Jewish morning prayer, became a club hit fusing religious vibe with house beat. Lyrically straightforward, vocally Mizrahi-rooted, production-wise Tel Aviv-electronic. His fan base is younger than Eyal Golan\'s or Sarit Hadad\'s. The "Tel Aviv" anthem is a 21st-century city soundtrack you\'ll hear in cabs, gyms, and weddings everywhere.
