Real Handwritten Hebrew

Cursive 03 · כְּתָב יָד בַּחַיִּים

This is what cursive is for. A note on the fridge, a shopping list, a form at the clinic, a date scribbled on a calendar. Read each one in handwriting first. Reveal the meaning only after you have tried. By the end you read what Israelis actually write.

The shopping list: רְשִׁימַת קְנִיּוֹת

Someone left this on the counter. Read each item, tap to confirm.

A note on the fridge: פֶּתֶק

Read the whole note in cursive, then reveal.

A form: טֹפֶס

Printed labels, handwritten answers, exactly like a real form. The label is in print, the filled-in value is in cursive. Tap a row to reveal.

Days and dates by hand

Israelis write numbers with the same digits you know (3, 6, 2026). The day names are handwritten. Tap to hear and reveal.

Reading a handwritten date, A date like יום שלישי, 3.6.2026 is "Tuesday, 3 June 2026". The weekday is spelled out in cursive; the numbers stay as digits. Day-of-month comes before month (3.6 = 3 June), as in France, not the US.

A longer note: comprehension

Read it fully before revealing. This is your graduation read.
