Israeli banking is concentrated: 5 banks (Hapoalim, Leumi, Mizrahi-Tefahot, Discount, FIBI) hold ~95% of the market. Customer service is famously poor; fees are famously high. The system is digital but slow to change. Lesson 17 covered basics; this one goes deeper into investment, credit cards, mortgages, pensions, what you need for full financial life.
Cultural note, Walking into a Hapoalim or Leumi branch is an Israeli rite of passage and often a comedy of bureaucratic delay. You\'ll need an "ת"ז" (ID), patience, and ideally to "do everything online instead." Apps: Pepper (Bank Leumi digital subsidiary, no fees), Bit (P2P payments, verb: "תַּעֲשֶׂה לִי בִּיט", "send me a bit"). Salaries are paid by direct deposit on the 28-30th of each month.
