Decoding a Hebrew recipe is its own skill. Imperative verbs (chop! stir! bake!), Hebrew measurements (כַּף, כַּפִּית, כּוֹס), Israeli units (גְּרָם, מ"ל), oven temperatures in Celsius. Lesson 40 introduced cooking; this one teaches you to read any Israeli cookbook, Erez Komarovsky, Eyal Shani, Yotam Ottolenghi (who writes mostly in English but with deep Hebrew kitchen roots).
Cultural note, The Israeli cookbook canon: Janna Gur\'s "The Book of New Israeli Food" (English + Hebrew), Erez Komarovsky\'s bread books, Ezra Kedem\'s Levantine fusion. Online: "מַתְכּוֹנֵי שֶׁל" (Cooking with Sef), "אֲנִי שֶׁף" (I\'m Chef), typical Hebrew recipe sites with active comment culture.
