B2 listening means following Israeli radio news, TV interviews, podcasts, and casual conversations between native speakers at normal speed. Target: understanding 80%+ of a 10-minute Galei Tzahal newscast without subtitles. Hardest contexts: rapid Tel Aviv slang, multi-speaker political debates on Channel 12, Mizrahi-accent comedy. Easiest: news anchors (slower, formal Hebrew), educational podcasts.
Cultural note, Israeli news radio is dense and fast, Reshet Bet, Galei Tzahal, Kan Bet are the gold-standard podcasts to train B2 listening. Newsroom Hebrew is more formal than street Hebrew but still rapid. Best B2 trainers: Kan Podcasts, Galei Tzahal "HaTayer," Channel 12 evening news, Eretz Nehederet (satire, hard, idiomatic).
