Every binyan has a matching noun that names its action, the שֵׁם פְּעֻלָּה (shem pe'ula, "action-noun"). "He wrote" → "writing". "Succeeded" → "success". "Participated" → "participation". The key fact: the noun's mould tells you which binyan and which verb it came from. So this is a two-way street, verb gives noun, and noun gives back the verb. This is the single most useful table in the track.
The generative table
One row per binyan. The mould is the mould; only the three root letters change.
Pa'al
_ְ_ִי_ָה
כְּתִיבָה writing · קְרִיאָה reading · שְׁמִירָה guarding
Pi'el
_ִי_וּ_
דִּיבּוּר speech · טִיּוּל a trip · תִּיקּוּן a repair
Hif'il
הַ_ָ_ָה
הַצְלָחָה success · הַזְמָנָה invitation · הַדְרָכָה training
Hitpa'el
הִתְ_ַ_ְּ_וּת
הִתְרַגְּשׁוּת excitement · הִשְׁתַּתְּפוּת participation
Nif'al
הִ_ָּ_ְ_וּת
הִיכָּנְסוּת entering · הֵירָשְׁמוּת registering (oneself)
Pu'al and Huf'al borrow, the passive binyanim do not coin their own action-nouns in everyday Hebrew. They lean on their active twin's noun (pi'el's _ִי_וּ_, hif'il's הַ_ָ_ָה). So in practice you have five moulds to know, not seven.
Read it backwards, this is the payoff. See a noun ending in -וּת with הִתְ on the front → hitpa'el → there is a reflexive verb behind it. See הַ_ָ_ָה → hif'il → a causative verb. See _ִי_וּ_ → pi'el. The noun is a fingerprint.
Pa'al nouns: _ְ_ִי_ָה
Pi'el nouns: _ִי_וּ_
Hif'il nouns: הַ_ָ_ָה
Hitpa'el & Nif'al nouns: the -וּת families
Reverse drill: noun back to verb
Read the mould, name the binyan, recover the verb it came from.
